Working Remotely in the Dominican Republic
The DR is an increasingly popular remote work destination — fiber internet is available in Santo Domingo and Las Terrenas, and co-working spaces have opened in both cities over the last few years. Santo Domingo offers the most infrastructure (Regus, Impact Hub, and several independent spaces), while Las Terrenas trades speed for scenery with a strong expat community and slower pace. A tourist visa covers 30-day stays, but long-term nomads typically use the rentista or investor residency routes to stay legally.
